Positivity rate down to 2.65%, 548 new cases, nine deaths

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 548 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, in addition to nine new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 10,736 and the total caseload to 825,245.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 228 cases, while Zarqa recorded 43 cases. Irbid registered 99 cases, Balqa 24 cases, Karak recorded 15, Jerash recorded two cases, and Tafileh recorded 13. Madaba registered eight cases, Aqaba 61, and Ajloun 13.

The ministry added in a statement that some 44 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 63 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 12,564 according to the Ministry of Health. Around 2.65 percent of the 20,716 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
