During a session of the Senate today, Tuesday, the President of the Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, called on political parties, particularly those represented in the House of Representatives, to use the parliamentary platform to express their political positions on various issues. He urged them not to take to the streets or call for mass demonstrations, emphasizing the need to avoid exploiting the emotions of citizens regarding events in Gaza and the West Bank. Al-Fayez pointed out that some parties may exploit such protests to harm the nation.

He reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to Arabism and its refusal to allow the battle with Israel to be brought inside Jordan or to divert attention from what is happening in Palestinian territories. He stressed that the priority is to maintain national security and internal stability under the Hashemite leadership, emphasizing that this sacred land will not be harmed by those who harbor hatred.
Al-Fayez stated that populist and provocative rhetoric that inflames emotions does not serve the Palestinian cause, but rather leads to chaos within society and puts pressure on security forces, who are working tirelessly to protect the nation's internal security, as well as its borders from external threats and dangers.
He expressed full support for the Hashemite leadership, stating that King Abdullah II is the "safety valve" for Jordan. He urged Jordanians to disregard those who incite strife, calling on all national factions to unite behind the Hashemite leadership. Al-Fayez emphasized that any attempts to undermine the security forces or the military should be met with firmness.
Al-Fayez also highlighted Jordan's leadership role in supporting the Palestinian cause, recalling the historical stances of our ancestors, from Sharif Hussein bin Ali to King Abdullah II, in supporting the Palestinian people's struggle. He reaffirmed that Jordan will always remain the first defender of Palestinian rights, stressing that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority for King Abdullah II.
