Some brands of baby formula increased by 2.5 to 8 percent, according to the
director of Medicine at the
Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) Amal Abu
Al-Rub, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

She attributed the rise to hiked shipping and packaging
costs, and an increase in the price of raw material. She said the brands which
saw a price rise are imported from the US and some European nations.
The price of baby formula for toddlers under one-year-old and
their medicines are set by JFDA, she added.
