Chairing a lecture entitled: "Mary in Christianity and
Islam," organized by RIIFS, with the participation of a number of
researchers and Christian and Islamic clergymen from
Lebanon, Jordan, and
Egypt, Prince El Hassan stressed the need to integrate Mary's religious and
spiritual depth in enriching dialogue to reach the concept of human dignity.
For her part, RIIFS director, Renee Hattar, said "Mary
is an example of boundless love that requires strength and courage to reach the
firm faith," stressing the need to kick off a "real" human
dialogue.
The lecture, which was moderated by professor of Comparative
Religions at Al-Bayt University and RIIFS academic adviser, Amer Al-Hafi,
highlighted RIIFS's belief in the importance of promoting dialogue among
different faiths' followers, shedding light on commonalities and building a
