AMMAN —
Prince El Hassan bin Talal,
Chairman of the Arab Thought Forum, Saturday concluded a visit to Muscat, Oman,
where he delivered a lecture at the Sultan Qaboos University on regional
developments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The visit also included a meeting
with the grand mufti of the country.
The lecture, titled "The Arab
Reality in light of international developments and tensions and their
repercussions on the region: a future vision," was organized by the
Omani Cultural Club.
During the lecture, Prince El Hassan
discussed the changes and developments taking place in the
Middle East and
presented a forward-looking reading of the Arab reality. He emphasized the
importance of a culture of dialogue, which seeks to devise effective solutions
and enhances participation in decision-making.
Jordanian-Omani tiesPrince El Hassan also highlighted
the "strong" ties between
Jordan and Oman and their mediating role in
dealing with regional and international issues. He praised the mediation
efforts of the two countries to "keep the nation together".
Furthermore,
Prince El Hassan emphasized that the Middle East is the "gateway" to convergence
between North Africa, Europe, and Asia. He discussed the necessity of
accentuating commonalities and respecting the differences between different
cultures through an integrated system of social and cultural values based on
respect for life.
