The conference, titled "Applications of Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Sports Sciences," will commence on Tuesday, highlighting advancements in sports sciences through digital and technological innovation.

The Dean of the Faculty and Chairperson of the Conference, Mohammad Dhiabat, emphasized that the event seeks to explore the latest in sports science topics, focusing on their implications for health, performance, and sports achievement within the digital era.

He noted that the gathering will address developments in sports medicine, physical performance, motor activity, and community health, aiming to elevate local, Arab, and international sports practices amid digital transformation demands. The event will also serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing between researchers and specialized sports institutions, enriching the research culture among graduate students with the aid of artificial intelligence.

The conference will cover a broad range of subjects, including biomechanics, physical effort physiology, motor learning and development, applied sports psychology, artificial intelligence in sports, as well as sports education strategies, marketing, media, management, and sports sociology.

Dhiabat highlighted the participation of 46 researchers from seven Arab and friendly countries alongside Jordanian academics, who will present 44 scientific papers on topics central to technology and AI in sports sciences.

He added that the conference presents an invaluable opportunity for experts to exchange ideas and insights in sports sciences, with selected papers to be published in the Jordanian Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (JIPESS). Additionally, there is potential for publication in a Q2-ranked international scientific journal in English, adhering to the respective publication criteria.
