Princess Basma Bint Talal, Chairperson of the Higher Committee of the National
Goodwill Campaign, was reassured on the health conditions of the charity’s
patients during a visit to Shmaisani Hospital in Amman, according to the Jordan
News Agency, Petra.

The patients underwent free surgeries under the
supervision of specialized volunteer doctors of the National Goodwill Campaign,
all of which were successful, and came as part of the campaign’s “Healing
Touch” program.
During the visit, the princess witnessed the signing
of a memorandum of cooperation between the National Goodwill Campaign and
Shmaisani Hospital, which was sealed by Director of the Fertility and Genetics
Unit, Dr. Hilal Abu Ghosh, on behalf of the hospital, and the campaign’s
medical team leader, Dr. Nayef Al-Abdallat.
Princess Basma expressed the campaign’s pride in
“this humanitarian partnership model between national institutions, especially
medical institutions, with the aim of providing qualitative and advanced
treatment services to patients from the various regions of the Kingdom.”
She said in the presence of members of the Higher
Committee of the National Goodwill Campaign and Shmaisani Hospital Director,
Dr. Fahmy Al-Jabi, that the treatment service provided by the campaign to patients,
in cooperation with its partners, constitutes a “qualitative leap” in their
lives and contributes to ending their suffering and helping them lead a normal
life.
Her Highness praised the efforts of the campaign
partners of private medical institutions, stressing that such cooperationto
serve and treat patients as it reflects the values of social solidarity and
social responsibility of the various national institutions towards members of
society.
During the visit, Princess Basma was briefed on the
nature of the surgeries by the specialized medical team, who reassured her
about their patients’ safety, stable condition, and full recovery.
Dr. Abu Ghosh said that the partnership between
Shmaisani Hospital and the National Goodwill Campaign reflects the hospital’s
keenness to carry a humanitarian role towards the campaign’s patients, and
contribute to enhancing the medical services provided by the campaign to them.
He expressed the hospital’s pride in joining the campaign partners.
