AMMAN —HH Princess Dina Mired, honorary
president of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer
(EORTC), gave a keynote speech at a dinner held by the organization on the
occasion of its 60th anniversary, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

During the ceremony, which was held in the Belgian
capital,
Brussels, Princess Dina lauded the progress achieved by EORTC in
treating cancer patients through clinical research, which includes various
types of tumors and multidisciplinary treatment specialties at the
international level.
This event is in honor of the EORTC directors, whose
goal in life is to help and serve cancer patients, the princess noted.
She hailed efforts of HRH Prince Albert II of
Monaco, during his tenure as EORTC’s head since 2014, in improving the quality
of life for cancer patients.
Princess Dina assumed the EORTC honorary presidency in 2021,
succeeding Prince Albert II.
