AMMAN— HRH Princess Muna
Al-Hussein on Saturday led a ceremony honoring nurses who worked during the
COVID-19
pandemic. The ceremony was held for the occasions of
International Women's Day
and Mother's Day, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

At the ceremony, Royal Medical
Services Director General Brig. Yousef Zraiqat noted that the nursing sector
exerted great efforts to face the pandemic, reminding the world that a capable
health sector is the first line of defense and that medical competencies, the top
of which is nursing, are the most important elements of success in saving lives
and containing the virus and preventing its spread.
President of International Women’s
Forum Jordan, Rabab Mango, said it is necessary to shed light on women on the
front lines and highlight our gratitude and appreciation for the "heroic
and humanitarian" role nurses played during the pandemic.
Secretary-General of the
Jordanian Nursing Council Hani Nawafleh, hailed the sacrifices of nurses who answered the
call of duty with courage and dedication.
