Mohammed Al-Zyoud, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor said that defense
order No. 6 is still applicable for employees in the private sector and
measures will be taken against employers who terminate work contracts,
according to Jo24.
Employees in several companies were warned that their
contracts will be terminated upon the end of the sustainability “Estidama”
program, which will expire at the end of June. The Social Security Corporation
said it will not extend it because economic activity is back to normal
following the removal of restrictions under COVID-19.
