AMMAN — The volume of trade in land and
real estate during
the first eight months of 2023 reached JD4,658,390,495, according to a report
issued by the Department of Lands and Survey. Meanwhile, revenue decreased by
20 percent in August 2023 compared to the same month in 2022, but increased by
7 percent compared to July 2023, reaching JD26,774,760, Al-Mamlaka News
reported.

According to the report, revenue also increased by 0.04
percent during the first eight months compared to 2022, reaching JD176,126,918.
Land and real estate
sales
The estimated value of
sales to non-Jordanians also
decreased by 25 percent during the first eight months of 2023 compared to the
same period in 2022, amounting to JD151,043,366.
Similarly, the estimated value of sales to non-Jordanians
decreased by 17 percent in August 2023 compared to August 2022, but increased
by 33 percent compared to July, reaching JD30,128,008.
Apartment sales
The movement of sales to non-Jordanians also decreased by 17
percent during the first eight months of 2023, with apartment sales decreasing
by 12 percent and land sales decreasing by 26 percent compared to the same
period in 2022.
In August 2023, the sale of real estate in the kingdom
decreased by 4 percent compared to the same month in 2022, but increased by 12
percent compared to July.
Apartment sales decreased by 2 percent compared to
August 2022, but increased by 14 percent compared to the previous month, while
land sales decreased by 5 percent compared to the same month in 2022, but
increased by 11 percent compared to the previous month.
