Prophet’s birthday holiday includes private sector-Labor ministry

AMMAN — Prime Minister's communiqué to off all ministries, official departments, institutions and public bodies in celebration of Prophet Mohammed's birthday, which falls next Saturday, includes the private sector, Ministry of Labor announced, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The ministry, in a press statement on Thursday, said the official holidays are paid to workers in private sector institutions and are entitled to an additional wage at the 150% rate of their usual wage, in accordance with provisions of Article 59/b of Jordanian Labor Law No. (8) for 1996 and its amendments.
