Amman - The latest progress report on the Economic Modernization Vision's executive program (2023-2025) has outlined significant accomplishments within Jordan's public education sector for the first half of this year.اضافة اعلان

The report outlined advancements in the development and reform of educational curricula for both primary and secondary education. This includes the completion of revisions to the general framework of Jordanian curricula, as well as specific frameworks for mathematics, science, English, social studies, philosophy, psychology, and sociology. The updates encompass new standards, learning outcomes, and performance indicators.

Additionally, the curriculum for the first level of kindergarten for the first semester has been finalized, featuring five comprehensive study units.

A notable advancement is the introduction of the pilot version of the electronic educational supervision system, marking a significant improvement in educational management.This system aims to provide precise databases, foster decentralized professional development, and is being tested in three directorates from different regions prior to its full-scale launch.

In terms of professional development, 45,000 educational staff, including teachers and administrators, have received training. To boost female participation and leadership in education, the first draft of the "Transformational Leadership towards a Gender Approach" training program has been prepared, which will offer 25 training hours and be incorporated into official training programs.
Reforms are also underway for secondary school examinations, with a transition from paper to electronic exams being implemented. The establishment of a specialized exam center at the Ministry of Education has been completed.

Initial steps have been taken to upgrade computer labs in 500 schools as part of a strategy to facilitate electronic exams in 2024. Sites for seven new specialized examination centers have been identified, and efforts are ongoing to secure funding for their establishment and equipment within the year.

Additionally, a blended learning strategy has been adopted, designed to enhance student engagement and provide flexible learning opportunities, marking a significant step forward in educational quality.
