The committee consists of Irbid’s assistant governor Omar Al-Qudah, and the Director of Food and Drugs Organization for the Northern Region, Eng. Ahmed Al Sheyab, and Director of Market Supervision in the Greater Irbid Municipality Mahmoud Al-Shayyab.

During the tour, food products displayed under the sun, such as cheese, which must be kept refrigerated, were destroyed, in addition to nearly expired dates. Inspections also included poultry shops to ensure the validity and quality of the offered products.

During the past few days, the committee inspected many food establishments in various areas in Irbid, where some were closed and others were shut down temporarily for violating the necessary health requirements and standards that pose a threat to the safety of the citizen.

The committee stressed it will not tolerate anything that affects the citizen's food and safety, and that it is keen to maintain all forms and types of food safe and of high quality.
