Public holiday announced for Prophet Mohammad’s birthday

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Tuesday announced that all ministries, government departments and public institutions will observe a holiday marking Prophet Mohammad’s birthday on October 19, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Prophet Mohammad was born on the 12th day of Rabi I in the Islamic calendar. Khasawneh stressed in an official statement that all official institutions should contribute to highlighting the "noble" occasion.

The circular exempted ministries and public institutions “for whom the nature of their work requires them to do otherwise”.
