Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 1,034,350 passengers in August 2023, a
9.8 percent increase from the previous year.

QAIA recorded 8,008
aircraft movements (ACM), marking a 15.3
percent increase from 2022. Cargo handling for the month amounted to 5,988
metric tonnes, showing a slight 0.3 percent decrease from 2022, the Jordan News
Agency, Petra, reported.
Significant growth
In the first eight months of the year,
QAIA served 6,414,776
passengers, a 24.8 percent surge from 2022. During this period, QAIA logged
53,410 aircraft movements (ACM), a 16.5 percent increase over 2022.
Year-to-date cargo figures stood at 42,348 metric tonnes, a 4.9 percent rise
from 2022.
