AMMAN - A total of 4.5 million passengers traveled through the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in 2021, compared with 2 million in 2020, signaling a major increase of 120 percent year on year (YoY). Chief Commissioner of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Haitham Misto told Petra on Thursday that the airport handled a total of 46,603 aircraft movements in 2021 against 24,221 in 2020, indicating a growth of 92 percent.
