The statement added that
the new updates aim to facilitate the process of travel and return to Qatar, in
light of a decrease in COVID case numbers, according to Al-Ghad News.
Jordan was among a number
of other Arab and foreign countries added to the green list.
The Qatari Ministry of
Health stated that the travel and return policy is an integral part of Qatar's
strategy to combat the coronavirus.
The newly updated list replaces
the current classification of countries with two new list; green and red.
All travelers must sign an
“acknowledgment and undertaking” form before arriving to Qatar, which will be
available on the ministry of public health’s official website, in addition to registering
with the airline reservation system.
The new regulations also change
the country’s PCR requirement. Fully vaccinated citizens, residents, and those
coming from countries on the green list will be required to take a PCR test 36
hours before traveling instead of immediately before flying.
Qatar also updated its list
of approved vaccines to include both the Sinovac vaccine and the Sputnik
vaccine, according to Jordan Agency, Petra.
