The Qatari ministry stated on its
official website that it would immediately apply the updated procedures,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The updates by the ministry also
included a new departure and arrival policy, especially for those coming from
red list countries after finding the new mutated COVID-19 strain “Omicron” from
Africa.
The update added 15 new countries,
including two Arab countries, Egypt and Sudan, to the red list, bringing up the
total to 21 countries, and the green list has 175 countries after the update.
Visitors coming to Qatar with fully
vaccinated entry visas will be subjected to a two-day hotel quarantine, in
addition to other procedures. While non-vaccinated travelers will not be
allowed to enter.
As for travelers coming to Qatar from the green list
countries, they are only required to perform a PCR test before departure and
after arrival, without the need for a hotel quarantine.
