Attending the signing was Qatari Ambassador to Jordan
Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Bin Jassim Al-Thani and representatives of the Qatari ministry
of labor.
Steitieh directed to keep the Qatari recruitment platform active,
which aims to attract Jordanian talents and employ a total of 20,000 Jordanians
in the Gulf Arab state. So far 9,500 Jordanians have been employed through the
platform, and efforts are underway to employ an additional 10,000 Jordanians in
the Qatari labor market.
The minister noted that the process of selecting
applicants for job opportunities is carried out by companies and the private
sector in Qatar in partnership with the chambers of industry and commerce, adding
that the ministry is communicating with a number of countries to create similar platforms with the aim of marketing Jordanian talent.
The Qatari ambassador voiced hope that other Qatari
companies follow suit and launch similar initiatives as that by Suhail
Industrial Holding Group to fulfill the directives of the leaders of both
countries.
