AMMAN —
The movement of aircraft arriving at and departing from
Queen Alia International Airport, and directly linking Jordan with 69 destinations, jumped
18 percent in July, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

It quoted
Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Chief Commissioner/CEO Haitham Misto as
saying Monday that the airport saw an increase of 37 percent in incoming and
outgoing flights in July, compared with the same month of 2021, when 5,359
flights were recorded.
Misto also said
that passenger traffic saw a growth of 33 percent in July, compared to June,
reaching a total of 1 million passengers.
He said about the
same number of passengers was recorded in the same month of 2019, and about
700,000 passengers in July last year.
The number of daily flights in July reached 237, compared
with 173 during the same month of 2021, and 256 in July of 2019, he said.
