Launching the festival on Friday is the Jordanian animation titled "Saleem." The film tells the tale of a nine-year-old boy named Salim, uprooted from his hometown, and compelled to embrace a new life. Plagued by the ghosts of his past, Salim grapples with the challenges of a fresh start after losing his father. Amidst ongoing school harassment, Salim strives for stability. His life takes an unexpected turn when a dove from another world appears, revealing what seems to be an ancient treasure map, according to the RFC description.

The film will be followed by a discussion with the director. This captivating film has already left its mark on the international stage, participating in the Ansi Film Festival in France and the Cartoons on the Bay - Pulcinella Awards in Italy, both in 2023.
