AMMAN — During the activities of the
Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) 2022, which opened on Tuesday in
Aqaba, the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) signed an agreement with aerospace
company Bell Textron to purchase 10 BELL 505 helicopters, according to
Al-Mamlaka TV.

The agreement was signed by RJAF Commander Brig.
Gen. Mohamed Fathi Hiyasat and Bell Textron’s Patrick Mollai in the presence of
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti.
It covers the
delivery of the aircraft with flight training tools and a comprehensive set of
computer-based training devices, to enable enhanced adoption of basic and
advanced training methods for flying the rotary-engine aircraft.
The signing was attended by the
US ambassador to Jordan,
representatives of the Canadian Embassy in Amman, and several senior officers
of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army.
