AMMAN — The Board of Directors of
the
Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) has elected Batoul
Al-Ajlouni as Director-General, to succeed former director-general Khaled
Al-Irani, who served in the past as
Minister of Environment.

The board also elected Ghassan Asfour as
deputy director-general and Muhammad Shaheen as secretary, Al-Saa News
reported.
The society had held elections for the new
Board of Directors last Thursday.
The
Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature was established in 1966 as a non-profit organization. It carries a mandate from
the
Jordanian government to protect wildlife and biodiversity and manage the
reserves across the Kingdom.
