AMMAN — The Royal Society for the
Conservation of Nature (RSCN) launched the sixth session of the Regional
Reserve Leaders Forum on Tuesday, which will tackle a number of themes,
including the management of protected areas and the conservation of
biodiversity outside protected areas, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.
The forum, which is organized by RSCN, will continue
until September 22; its program includes a tour of the various nature reserves
in Jordan, to acquaint participants with the daily management of these
reserves, dialogue sessions with partners from organizations working in various
fields, along with local communities, and training participants in fieldwork.
The forum aims to provide participants with a platform where
they can network and exchange experience and knowledge, and work together to
bring about a positive and tangible change in the manner of managing protected
