AMMAN—On
Friday, the Kingdom will be affected by a polar front centered over Cyprus, and
accompanied by a very cold air mass, bringing noticeable drop in temperatures
and rainfall in many parts of the Kingdom, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.

The Jordan
Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily report that snowfall is
expected in areas located 1,400m above sea level and higher in southern areas.
The weather
department warned of strong westerly winds, with gusts that can exceed 60
kilometers per hour in some areas, the JMD noted.
It also
warned of slippery roads, flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas formation
and fog formation in mountainous areas.
The minimum
and maximum temperatures in Amman range between 2-10 degrees Celsius, in the
Dead Sea 10-17, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 9-18 degrees Celsius, according to the
(JMD) report.
