Head of the
municipality committee, Feras Abu Al-Ghanam, told the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, on Monday, that the operation of the factory is the first step to
creating a local environment free of environmentally harmful solid waste, and
to reach an advanced level in the waste recycling sector.
According to Abu
Al-Ghanam, the project seeks to collect recyclable waste, such as plastics,
metals, and carton, within the limits of the factory’s current capacity, and
produce from them environmentally friendly materials, that the local community
can benefit from, directly or indirectly, according to Petra.
