AMMAN —
The Kingdom’s real estate trade picked up by 23 percent to JD4.875 billion
between January–October this year, compared
with the same period in 2021, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The Department of
Land and Survey (DLS) revealed on Monday that the state’s revenue from the real
estate market stood at JD244 million by the end of October, a 37-percent
increase from the figure reported in 2021.
Overall, real
estate sale in the Kingdom dropped by 7 percent during the same period of 2022,
as apartment sales also receded by 3 percent, while land sales ebbed by 9
percent compared to 2021.
On a monthly level,
the trade volume in the Jordanian real estate market went up in October by 21
percent, reaching JD522 million, compared with the same month of 2021.
Revenue recorded a 35-percent rise last month, reaching
JD24.8 million, compared with the corresponding month in 2021.
