AMMAN - Jordan's real estate trade volume rose by 24 percent in the January-August period of 2022, reaching JD3.824 billion compared to the figure reported in the same period of 2021.

The Department of Land and Survey (
DLS) revealed on Thursday that the state's revenue from the real estate market stood at JD174.4 million in the January-August period of 2022, a 39-percent increase from the figure reported in 2021.
Overall real estate sales in the Kingdom dropped by 7 percent in the January-August period of 2022, as apartment sales also declined by 2 percent, while land sales decreased by 9 percent compared to 2021.
On a monthly level, the trade volume in the Jordanian real estate market went up in August of 2022 by 43 percent, amounting to JD696 million compared to the same month of 2021.
Meanwhile, revenue in the same month of the current year recorded a whopping 68-percent rise, reaching JD33.4 million compared to the same month of 2021.
