Recent days see noticeable decline in coronavirus infections

AMMAN — The Kingdom has witnessed a noticeable decline in the number of coronavirus infections in the past few days, in addition to a decrease in the percentage of positive PCR tests, which, according to specialists, suggests that the fourth wave “is receding”,  according to Al Ghad News. Internal diseases, pulmonary and sleep medicine specialist Mohammad Al-Tarawneh said that all epidemiological indicators suggest the wave has reached its peak and the curve is now in a downward direction. Tarawneh said that if a new mutation takes over the world, there will be a new wave, indicating that this is possible due to a slow rate of vaccination.  The global percentage of those who have been vaccinated has not reached 70 percent, he said, while locally it stands at 45 percent.
