for the upcoming year.

In a statement issued today, Colonel Al-Qur'an outlined the
key details of the modified system. One of the notable changes includes a
reduction in licensing fees for vehicles equipped with a 3,000-cc engine, with
models ranging from 1999 to 2005, by approximately JD150, Khaberni reported.
Additionally, vehicle owners with a 4,000-cc engine will
also benefit from reduced fees of approximately JD200.
The primary objective of these fee reductions is to
incentivize citizens to obtain licenses for their vehicles with engine
capacities surpassing 3,000-cc.
Yesterday, during their session, the Cabinet officially
approved the justifications behind implementing the modified system for driving
license fees, vehicle registration, and licensing for the year 2023.
The overarching aim of this new system is to streamline fee
categories and promote fairness among all owners of privately-owned small
passenger cars and rental vehicles of similar types and engine capacities.
