AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan has reported an
encouraging performance in the remittances of Jordanian workers who are abroad
during April 2023, surpassing the figures from March, Al-Mamlaka TV
reported.

According to recently released data by the Central Bank of
Jordan, remittances experienced a growth rate of 5.5 percent, totaling $274.8
million (JD194.8 million).
During the first quarter of the current year, remittances
from overseas workers reached approximately $1.103 billion (JD782.0 million).
Although slightly lower than the corresponding period in the
previous year, where it stood at $1.131 billion (JD802.3 million).
