The rising cost of market prices, specifically those of
vegetables and fruits, has meant a decrease in the Jordanian public’s
purchasing power. This has led to a drop in sales and affected a number of service
sectors, Hala News reported.
Over 20,000 restaurants are registered in Jordan, directly
employing more than 100,000 people, excluding logistical and other indirect
jobs that the sector generates.
