Kharabsheh

and the future vision, applying sustainability principles to
economic growth
and increasing reliance on renewable energy sources. He highlighted the urgency
of this step in light of the rising energy costs in Jordan, Al-Mamlaka TV
reported.
He also
affirmed the ministry's commitment to reviewing regulations governing the
sector. This includes the enhancement and development of the
Renewable Energy Law and Energy Rationalization Law No. (13) of 2012, ensuring the preservation
of the leadership and achievements of Jordan's renewable energy sector.
Kharabsheh
emphasized that the review aims to promote energy rationalization practices,
improve efficiency, and establish clear regulations considering the interests
of all sectors and the requirements of the electrical system. It also involves
reconsidering the mechanism for dealing with
consumption coverage projects,
enhancing the importance of local manufacturing in renewable energy, and
maximizing its contribution to the local income.
The minister
announced that the ministry will carefully consider the recorded observations
on the law, paving the way for future legislative procedures within the
approved constitutional channels. These efforts aim to meet the requirements of
the
Economic Renewal Vision for 2023.
