AMMAN — The Kingdom is expected to remain under the impact
of a relatively hot air mass, so it will be relatively hot in the highlands,
and hot in the Badia areas and the plains, the Jordan Meteorological Department
(JMD) reported.
In Amman and the highlands, mercury levels will range
between 31°C and 35°C during the day. In the late afternoon, cooler weather is
forecast as temperatures slide to 23°C and even 18°C in the southern highlands.
The JMD warned against direct exposure to sunlight in the
afternoon, mainly in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan News
Agency, Petra, reported.
On Wednesday, temperatures will rise 5-6 above annual
average, but similar weather conditions will continue to persist, the JMD noted.
