AMMAN — A slight rise in
temperatures today is expected to bring relatively hot weather across the
Kingdom before dipping by 3 to 4°C on Monday and again on Tuesday, the Jordan
Meteorological Department (
JMD) said in its daily brief.

Sunny and hot weather is expected
to prevail across the Kingdom on Sunday with temperatures reaching a high of
33°C during the day and a low of 19°C at night in Amman. Temperatures will see a
scorching 41°C in
Aqaba during the day, dipping to 26°C at night.
On Monday, temperatures will dip by
a few degrees, and the weather is expected to be fair. Temperatures in Amman
and across the highlands and plains are expected to range between 29°C during
the day and 16°C at night.
In the city of Aqaba, it will be
much hotter, with mercury levels reaching a high of 38°C during the daytime and
dropping to 24°C night.
A further dip in mercury is forecast
for Tuesday, bringing moderate temperatures with a high of 28°C and a low of
15°C in Amman. In the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the JMD forecasts
relatively hot conditions with highs of 36°C and lows of 23°C, with moderate
to active winds.
