Sakher Dudin, the
Minister of State for Media Affairs, declared that the Royal Committee for Modernizing the Political System would soon submit its recommendations to his Majesty for approval.

After His Majesty,
King Abdullah recently issued directives to form the Royal Committee for Modernizing the Political System to enhance the democratic approach and conduct a holistic review of the legislation to regulate the political life, according to Dudin.
The minister stressed that the Royal directives for all the consecutive governments should focus and invest in humans and provide them the best services for them, according to Al-Ghad News.
In a speech with Amman Groups for Future Dialogues, Dudin said that His Majesty King Abdullah believes that the Jordanian constitution, established in 1952, constitutes democratic and political life, considering the social developments and the ever-changing circumstances required some amendments.
Dudin added that the constitutional amendments, in 2011, 2014, and 2016, were carried out to enhance the legislative authority, to prevent the dissolution of the parliament, to improve the parliament work and independence, to consolidate the autonomy of authorities, to establish the Independent Election Commission, and the Constitution Court to enhance the democratic approach.
