AMMAN – The Jordan Securities Depository
Center executed on Tuesday a capital reduction process for
Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ), reducing the carrier’s capital by JD200.9 million Jordanian dinars,
according to Hala News.

This represents approximately 62% of the
company's capital, reducing the registered capital at the Securities Depository
Center to JD123.6 million, from an original JD324.6 million. This reduction was
achieved by offsetting a portion of the accumulated losses of the company.
The capital reduction was completed by the
center based on the decision of the company's general assembly and the approval
of the
Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply.
The
airline announced it would be restructuring its capital amid losses last month.
