AMMAN — Royal Navy boats on Saturday rescued six tourists whose boat capsized in the
Gulf of Aqaba after it developed a technical problem, leading it to lose control and move near rocky and coral reefs, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Ambulance boats and a naval patrol took part in the rescue, and the boat was towed to "a safe sea anchorage to prevent injuries or material losses," according to a statement.
The Royal Naval Forces Command undertakes rescue operations in addition to the task of protecting borders, preventing infiltration and smuggling, and maintaining maritime security in territorial waters.
