AMMAN —

Majali explained that the account, a form of Islamic insurance plan, will
help those who reach the retirement age who did not complete the number of
required contributions, and are unable to purchase the remaining period, to buy
the plan with help from SSC.
He said the help will be provided according to specific conditions, in a
way that will also allow SSC members to benefit from pension plans.
Majali pointed out that the revenues for this account will be JD1 from
each insured or retired person, which will be met with “donations and gifts
made to this account.”
He explained that the account will “secure educational expenses and bear
tuition fees in colleges and universities for a large number of the children of
the insured and retired under
SSC”.
Majali
said the project will also allow SSC’s board, under instructions issued for
this purpose, to cover any other expenses aimed at providing protection for
retirees and the insured.
