AMMAN – Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, emphasized on Sunday that the lack of a direct
international stance demanding the cessation of the war crimes committed by
Israel and holding its leaders accountable legally and politically provides
cover for the aggression.

"Israel has committed every war crime imaginable in its
savage aggression,” Safadi said in a statement, according to Al-Ghad newspaper.
He said this perspective underscores the discriminatory
approach of international stances toward the brutal Israeli aggression against
the Palestinian people from the viewpoint of identity and nationality.
In a phone call with the European Union's High
Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,
Josep Borrell, Safadi
stressed the necessity for the European Union to take a direct stance regarding
Israeli war crimes based on the same legal principles and system of human
values upon which the European Union built its international support in
addressing the Ukrainian crisis.
According to a statement released by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Safadi stated that Israel was “transgressing all humanitarian and
ethical red lines, violating every legal norm in its savage aggression that
reached the brink of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the
occupied West Bank.”
