AMMAN — Deputy
Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman
Safadi, discussed with his Libyan counterpart, Najla Mangouch, ways to
strengthen bilateral ties, and developments concerning efforts to resolve the
Libyan crisis. Speaking over the phone on Wednesday, the two ministers affirmed
their keenness to follow up on the outcomes of Tuesday’s phone conversation between
His Majesty King Abdullah and President of the Libyan Presidential Council
Mohammad Al-Manfi, in the context of solidifying the already “strong” relations
between the two countries. Safadi said the Kingdom will continue to stand by
Libya and support all efforts to reach a political solution, which the Libyans
had already agreed upon, protect Libya, achieve its people’s aspirations, and
preserve its security and stability, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.

For her part, the Libyan minister expressed appreciation for
Jordan’s stances in support of Libya and the political path aimed at solving
the crisis, and affirmed keenness to develop fraternal relations in various
fields.
