In a press statement, Safadi stressed that
Jordan will
continue to cooperate with Qatar to aid the Palestinian people, adding: “We
talked about regional issues, mainly the Palestinian cause and ways to create a
real political aspect to step out of the status quo and reach a comprehensive
and just peace.”
Safadi also contended that the only way to solve the
Palestinian cause “is the two-state solution, which guarantees the
establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines with
East Jerusalem as its capital.”
Safadi
also stressed that Qatar played a major role in maintaining Afghanistan’s
security.
Both ministers also reiterated the fraternal and historical
ties between the two countries.
