Safadi, Slovakian counterpart discuss ties, region

AMMAN - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held talks with his Slovakian counterpart Ivan Korcok, on Friday, and stressed the need of expanding scopes of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the partnership with the European Union, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.  اضافة اعلان

During the talks in Amman, the two top diplomats also stressed the need of unifying the legislative framework to raise the level of cooperation between the private sectors in both countries.

The two sides discussed the need to achieve the Double Tax Avoidance Agreement (DTAA), which will contribute to enhancing trade and investment collaboration between Amman and Bratislava.

Safadi briefed Korcok on Jordan’s efforts to achieve just and comprehensive solution between the Palestinians and Israelis based on the two-state solution.
On UNRWA, Safadi also briefed Korcok on the Kingdom’s endeavors aiming at mobilizing support to the UN agency to enable it to offer vital services to Palestinian refugees.

Syria, Iraq and Ukraine were figured high during the talks between the two top diplomats.

For his part, Korcok, who is currently visiting Jordan along with an economic delegation, praised Jordan’s role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in preserving peace and security in the Middle East region.
