AMMAN —
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and
his South Korean counterpart Park Jin discussed bilateral ties, issues of
mutual interest, and regional and global developments, the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, reported.

Both ministers reiterated during a phone call Wednesday their commitment to
fostering cooperation between the two countries as they mark the 60th
anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
The Korean minister emphasized his country's support for Jordan in achieving
just and comprehensive peace as well as maintaining regional security and
stability. He also praised the Kingdom for its humanitarian efforts in hosting
refugees.
Safadi emphasized Jordan's support for South Korea's efforts to promote peace
and stability as he addressed the most recent developments on the Korean
peninsula.
The conversation also covered cooperation in the water and energy sectors, as
well as Korean development projects in Jordan.
Safadi extended Jordan’s condolences to the victims of typhoon Hinnamnor, which
struck the southern region of South Korea on Tuesday, killing a number of
people and causing extensive damage.
