WASHINGTON — Foreign Minister
Ayman Al-Safadi discussed with US officials bilateral relations between the two countries, the situation in Jerusalem and the rest of the occupied territories, and developments in the region.

Safadi met the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development
Samantha Power to discuss cooperation between the Kingdom and the agency.
Safadi and Power expressed the seriousness of the Kingdom and the US Agency for International Development -which deals with aid and development projects granted from the United States to Jordan and also economic aid- in expanding cooperation in various sectors.
Safadi had two separate meetings at the US Congress, one with member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and Senate Committee on Appropriations and Financial Services Senator
Chris Van Hollen, and Congressman Ted Deutch, the president of the Subcommittee on Middel-East and north African relations.
The meetings revolved around new ways of cooperation between Jordan and the United States, and the latest developments in Jerusalem and occupied Palestinian territories.
Safadi thanked the Congressman and the Senator for their support to Jordan, stressing that the Kingdom is committed to continuous coordination in all sectors.
