AMMAN —
Deputy Premier and
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on
Tuesday briefed senators on Jordan’s position toward regional and international
developments, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, the Jordan News
Agency, Petra reported.

He noted efforts led by
HM King Abdullah II to
promote regional peace and stability during a meeting of the Senate’s Committee
on Arab, International, and Expatriates Affairs and the Palestine Committee.
Senate President
Faisal Fayez said at the meeting
that Jordan maintained a balanced diplomacy as it built regional and global
alliances during its first centennial which have helped to preserve its
security, stability, and interests.
He said the repercussions of the
Russia-Ukraine crisis had cast a shadow over the Arab world.
The senators commended Jordan’s foreign policy guidelines
and the Foreign Ministry’s efforts to forge policies that are in line with the
national interests.
