AMMAN — Assistant secretary-general for primary health care, Ghazi Sharkas, said that reopening sectors, and achieving a safe summer in Jordan depends primarily on people receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

In remarks to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Sharkas called on people to register on the
platform to receive the vaccine and not rely on the stability of the current epidemiological situation, stressing the need to adhere to safety measures.
Sharkas added that those registered for the
COVID-19 vaccination amounted to 3,111,170 people, while 2,191,170 people have received the first dose, and 1,162,391 others have received two doses.
