The new services include licensing, civil status,
health insurance, Ministry of Justice services, and a “My Appointments” service
through which users can book an appointment at the Government Services Center,
among other services.
The ministry announced on Tuesday that, to use the
Sanad services, “all you have to do is activate your digital ID through a Sanad
kiosk (in malls) or through a bank connected to the application”. Sanad is
considered a gateway to digital government services, and allows users to
complete transactions and access ministry services.
Logging in to the Sanad app requires an ID number
and a password, and remote activation can be approved through face
verification.
More digital government services will be gradually added to
Sanad, the ministry said.
