The app, which launched in 2019, has some 376,000 downloads
through Apple’s App Store, about 1.2 million downloads on Android devices, and
about 371,000 downloads through Huawei devices, according to Al-Ghad News.
According to the ministry’s statement, the app recorded some 1.6
million downloads, an increase of 345 percent in November, when compared to the
number of downloads recorded at the end of the first week of October, when it was
downloaded nearly 450,000 times.
These numbers came despite government statements in recent weeks
that it is not mandatory to download the application in order to enter
establishments.
However, the app’s rating on online stores has not exceeded 1.6
out of 5 stars.
The ministry has said that it plans to launch a new version of
Sanad to facilitate the registration process and overall improve the app’s
usability.
